The Dome getaway retreat

"In FaerieLand there is a place called 'Sidhe Comhairle' [pronounced 'Shee Corla'] and wisdom it bestowed, to habitate alongside nature in the enchanted forest in 'The Dome.'"

Peace and tranquility await in this secluded wilderness retreat. A getaway sanctuary with a magical aura.

"Your job it is, amid confusion rush and noise, to seek the calm and beautiful - and finding it - treasure it anew."

Beauty surrounds The Dome

This "Culturally Modified Tree" is metres away from The Dome. About 100 years ago some bark was cut from this tree to make a container to bail out a canoe. The Coast Salish Sliammon First Nations people used Lund as their summer home. If you look closely at this photograph you can see where the cuts in the tree were made.
Our Magical Dome is the treasure at the end of Highway 101, waiting to be discovered! It is located in a natural forest ten minutes from Lund, a laid back community on the doorstep of Desolation Sound. Soak up the smells and sounds of nature that surround you in this getaway/retreat. Use it as your base to explore this undeveloped region of the B.C. coast. Come alone, or not (there's room for groups) and bask in the magic.

"Le Dome possede un cachet qu'il ne partage point; il est sien, il le restera, et de ce cachet je graverai un souvenire que ma memoire, charmee, longtemps portera."

A great getaway or retreat where you can shed your worries and cares. Relax, have a sauna, cook your favourite meal and chill.

"We spent three glorious days, hiking, kayaking, fabulous! We met oyster farmers, seals, kingfishers and bald eagles. Loved the sauna, dreaming of returning soon."

Sidhe Comhairle (translated from Gaelic means Faerie Wysdom).

"Loved the chance to be part of nature. Saw beautiful grouse feeding by the pond. And a huge owl! The energy in 'The Dome' is fantastic, feels like we've stumbled upon something very special."

Sidhe Comhairle, The Dome getaway/retreat consists of a main building, an adjoining bathhouse, and a bunkhouse, located several metres away. The main building accommodates up to eight people; the bunkhouse accommodates up to five. The upper part of our main building consists of a unique loft that sleeps three.
The main floor consists of a living area, a dining room, a bedroom with a double bed, and a full kitchen. You will feel embraced by the warmth of the wood interior in this circular space. The living area features hardwood floors and wood pellet stove. The foldout seats and couch can be transformed into an additional double and two single beds. Our separate bathhouse is located directly next to The Dome, and provides full amenities, including a special sauna. With its many intriguing features, The Dome is a feast for your senses...indulge yourself!
