The Grand Chapters of Alberta, British Columbia &Yukon, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Washington will be meeting once again for our annual “Hands Across the Border” Exchange on May 5th, 2007, at Worley, Idaho, (25 miles South of Coeur D’Alene on Highway 95). This is strictly a social get-together to renew old acquaintances, make new memories, and enjoy a wonderful day of fun, food and fellowship, plus some special entertainment.
The Grand Chapter of British Columbia & Yukon cordially invites you to attend this fun-filled weekend. Worthy Grand Matron Kim Ball and Worthy Grand Patron Dave Boot have selected “Hawaiian Extravaganza” as our theme for the evening.
Dress for the evening will be Hawaiian, Colourful shirts for the gentlemen and Moo-moo’s or grass skirts for the ladies if possible. Otherwise dress as you would if in the beautiful state of Hawaii. Each jurisdiction is asked to provide some “light” entertainment after the dinner.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel under the name of “Eastern Star”. The hotel’s toll free number for reservations is 1-800-523-2464. The room rate for the event is $69.95(US) plus tax. Reservation deadline is April 20th, 2007, for this special rate. This special rate will apply for Friday and Saturday evenings. Please make your reservations as early as possible as the rooms are filling up really fast.
If you are interested in RV Parking, it is available in the parking lot. Electricity is provided at light poles by checking in at VIP (they don’t take reservation), no other hookups are provided.
Dinner check-in will begin at 4:30 P.M. and the no-host social hour at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 5th, 2007. Dinner will start at 6:00 P.M.
The menu for dinner is: Baked Cod, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Honey Glazed Ham, Hawaiian Rice, Tahitian Browned New Potatoes, Ginger Glazed Carrots, Polynesian Vegetable Medley, Sweet & Sour Spinach Salad, Ambrosia Salad, Caesar Salad, South Pacific Pasta Salad, Banana Nut Bread, Assorted Rolls & Butter and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Cost for the Dinner is $28.00 per person (US Funds) NO LATE RESERVATIONS ACCEPTED. There will be NO complimentary dinners. (See attached form).
